Overview Job Title: Pallet ControllerCompany: Siqalo FoodsFunctions: ICSEJob Type Classification: PermanentLocation: Boksburg, Gauteng, South AfricaClosing Date: 2025/11/02Reference Number: RCL -1 Siqalo Foods is seeking a Pallet Controller to join their Operations Division. The role is based in Boksburg and reports to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager. The Pallet Controller is responsible for effectively managing, overseeing and controlling Siqalo’s inside and outside storage pallets, thereby minimizing pallet costs and holding days and minimizing pallet losses/write offs. Responsibilities Manage and support all Siqalo Division Pallet Sites. Site Management And Reconciliations: Inspect, consolidate daily movement analysis for all Siqalo Divisions to ensure accountability, transparency and accurate pallet control per site; distribute daily pallet findings to each business unit; ensure accurate and timely flow of pallet documents; present consolidated movement reconciliations to management; monitor daily pallet risk and escalate as needed; ensure proper handling of suspended/rejected movements; submit monthly pallet recoveries reports; ensure proper pallet documentation for each delivery; compile reports on pallet pool and Chep status. EMS Management: Compile EMS ageing report, investigate movements, approve Recovery charged Invoices, compile weekly EMS reports, ensure timely recovery of pallets, arrange transport for uplift, engage with Sales and EMS sites, monitor daily EMS movements, ensure EMS pallet recoveries billed on SAP, and conduct facility pallet stock counts and inventory reconciliations. Procedure Formulation: Update SOP annually, ensure adherence to SOP, provide training, maintain POD and document control in SAP, 5-year record keeping, ensure accurate handling of transport invoices with PODs and pallet documents. Pallet Recovery: Process pallet recovery charges, report outstanding recoveries, ensure Chep movements are captured timely, provide weekly recovery status reporting. Chep Account Management: Manage data integrity of Chep accounts, sign transfer hire agreements with Trading Partners, maintain relationships with Chep customers, communicate trends and resolutions, ensure staff training, represent the organization in audits, act as Chep pallet Champion, source pallets for Boksburg site, prevent pallet buildup, report on pallet control and corrective actions, upskill knowledge on Chep control, adhere to company policies. People Management: Lead and develop team, conduct performance appraisals, schedule training, coach and support team, manage employee relations in line with legislation and policy, build a high-energy team for accurate reporting and governance, ensure internal customer service, manage leave, conduct staff meetings, ensure SOP sign-off, address issues through regular meetings and root-cause analysis. Qualifications At least 3 years of experience in the CHEP Portfolio Training Program. Advanced Excel Experience. Diploma in Supply Chain Management & Logistics. At least 3 years of experience in managing multiple accounts. At least 2 years of experience in reconciliation of customer accounts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
