Title: Junior Data Analyst Business Unit: Clara Analytics National Reporting to: Head of Data & Analytics – Ruan van Rooyen Purpose Of The Job The Junior Data Analyst will work collaboratively with a team to assist the Data & Analytics Centre in executing the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process of data. This process involves extracting data from various sources, transforming it to fit operational needs, and loading it into the end target. The role aims to develop data models for analytics and communicate the results to Audit teams, thereby enhancing audit quality. Key Job Duties Or Responsibilities Collaborate with a team to perform the Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) of data from various sources. Troubleshooting and debugging of ETL components used including SQL stored procedures to resolve ETL errors. Provide quality assurance over imported data and implement data quality checks and balances. Design and develop data models for analytics purposes. Querying data sets with T-SQL. Create and interpret data visualisations. Provide basic operational support for Data and Analytics solutions including database administration, database backup and restore. Document working papers to document the processes followed to perform ETL, data quality assurance and data analytics results. Critical Interpersonal Or Interactive Skills A self-starter and take initiative. An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving. Attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Team player with good interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders. Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analysis. The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and deliver results in a timely manner. Minimum Required Qualifications And Experience Senior Certificate with matric exemption. Proficient in using MS Office suite. Beneficial Qualifications And Experience Data and/ or analytics-related certification/ degree in engineering/ mathematics and/or computer science. Understanding of MS SQL Server and T-SQL language, Alteryx, Power BI, and Power Query. Experience using Azure Data Studio in the ETL process. Certifications related to MS SQL Server and/ or Alteryx. Basic understanding of data management concepts, to allow for information lifecycle management. #J-18808-Ljbffr
