Business Analyst DP World, City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa The Business Analyst will form part of our continuous improvement team at the client site. This team aims to provide 4PL Operations and the client with relevant reports, information, and decision support to aid in operations and cost‑saving initiatives, as well as to identify, test, and implement such initiatives. Key Performance Areas Investigations: Investigate operational and internal processes to determine the root cause of cost drivers and inefficiencies Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct comprehensive data analysis to support business decisionmaking. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Projects: Identifying areas for process improvement, design a solution and manage projects to delivery Critical Thinking: Apply critical thinking skills to analyze data trends, identify anomalies, and provide actionable insights Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams to understand their data needs and deliver accurate, timely insights Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by implementing best practices in data management. Qualifications Required BEng/BSc Industrial Engineering, BCom Informatics/IS Management, or a similar field. Skills and Experience Required Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data analysis/process improvement. Experience in the FMCG industry and transport routing/scheduling beneficial. Proficiency in SQL (query writing and optimization) Advanced knowledge of Power BI (data visualization and report generation) Python programming skills (data manipulation, analysis) – Advantageous About DP World Trade is the lifeblood of the global economy, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for people around the world.
