Purpose of the role

The change manager will:

  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities.
  • Leverage a change management methodology, process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
  • Support communication efforts.
  • Enable the design, development, delivery and management of key communications.
  • Assess the change impact
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
  • Support training efforts
  • Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programmes.

Requirements:

Education and experience

  • Grade 12
  • PROSCI/ADKAR change management certification or designation desired

Knowledge and skills

  • Have a proven track record in facilitating multiple, technical programme/project streams, simultaneously, with various inter-dependencies
  • Have the ability to adapt to alter methodology wherever the programme/project may be in its life-cycle
  • Possess the skills to adapt to, understand and respect the company culture and foster an environment which allows for collaborative team-effort between the various stakeholders of the programme/project, thereby eliminating unnecessary escalations (where possible) and improving the team morale
  • Be proactive in providing in mitigating risks and providing solutions by communicating to through the correct project channels
  • In the event of uncertainty, consult with the programme/project manager before engaging with stakeholders outside the immediate project
