We have an exciting position available for a mature and committed full time Showroom Consultant who will be based at our upmarket showroom at our head office in Bellville. The ideal candidate will be creative, with a good sense of style and a natural flair for décor and design. MAIN DUTIES Build productive relationships with customers by advising and selling to customers in the showroom and working hard to achieve sales targets. Maintain showroom operations by maintaining the set showroom standards, coordinating deliveries, managing stock of cuttings, sample hangers and books etc. Support field sales by supporting the internal sales consultants. REQUIREMENTS National Senior Certificate Certificate or Diploma in Interior Decorating or related field At least 3 years sales experience in an Interior Decorating or related environment Experience of coordinating the operational aspects of a shop or outlet is an advantage Own reliable transport Good telephone etiquette Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) Good presentation skills Good with building and maintaining customer relationships Excellent customer service and after sales service Good with selling products and concepts Professional with good business etiquette Behaviours essential Be assertive with drive and ambition Be decisive and able to prioritize Be determined Able to cope with stress Good with time management and activity planning Able to take action, initiative and follow through Creativity and innovative thinking We offer a basic salary with commission and benefits.
