Overview Takealot Group, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Procurement Officer to join our team in our Cape Town Warehouse. Responsibilities Co‑ordinate the packaging procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Monitor packaging inventory levels and compile quarterly and monthly forecasts to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Audit that all purchased goods meet quality standards and specifications. Keep records of monthly supplier performance scorecards. Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate key procurement insights (usage, spend per item/supplier) and compile dashboards/reports for management. Collaborate with packaging controllers to ensure efficiency in the packaging department. Create purchase orders and ensure all payments are made on time to suppliers. Compile monthly packaging reports. Assist with month‑end financial reporting: analyse general ledger accounts and posting journals. Assist with budget compilations. Assist with RFP and RFQ processes during sourcing of new suppliers or businesses. Update daily dashboards for management. Capture weekly ad‑hoc invoices. Assist with ad‑hoc team responsibilities. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within a warehouse or supply chain environment. B‑Comm degree in Procurement Management or Cost & Management Accounting. Experience working with multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of purchasing forecasts, month‑end reporting, and data analysis. Ability to create dashboards. Attributes Solutions‑oriented with a can‑do attitude; self‑motivated. Good communication skills, both written and spoken, across different managerial levels and with external stakeholders. Analytical skills and ability to build dashboards for reporting and data analysis. Critical and systems thinking. Independent worker. We love what we do and what we are creating.
