QC Officer Report to : Operations Manager Seniority Level : Mid-Career (3-5 yrs exp) Type : Contractor Duties and Responsibilities : Advice on acceptable levels of set-up and weld preparation from boilermaker / pipe fitters prior to welding. Monitor the timely repair of all weld failures Compile and maintain all welding N.D.T and Heat Treatment documentation according to the Standard Practice System. Monitor welding consumable storage and control system in accordance with standard practices Ensure the control of all equipment and protective gear Perform weld visual inspections Review ongoing processes Interview employees Investigate outstanding non-conformance reports Implementation of standards Practice system Utilization of standard process control mechanism, forms, checklist and reporting structures Progressive compilation of code databooks. Review and approval of completed code databooks Issuing of completed datebooks to AIA and or Customer for approval.
