A trusted client in the region is seeking an experienced Information and Communication Director (IT Management). Primary Duties and Responsibilities : Ensure appropriate IT implementation and support for medical, business, and clinical systems by managing applications development/maintenance, data processing, local/wide area network administration, office automation, and technical support. Lead hospital-wide IT strategic planning, identify short- and long‑range system requirements, coordinate departmental input, and develop organization-wide IT goals, objectives, and priorities. Analyze and assess current and proposed IT plans; direct the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of automated information systems to meet strategic requirements. Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of hospital IT methods and procedures. Develop, maintain, and implement programming standards, quality control procedures, and related processes to ensure compliance with governmental, departmental, and regulatory standards. Direct feasibility studies for the development, upgrading, or replacement of medical, clinical, and business systems and applications. Evaluate user requirements; consult with managers and staff to research, review, investigate, evaluate, and select new technologies for current and future needs, including hardware, software, and system integration. Serve as technical resource and project manager on IT projects; review and approve project plans, design project and resource schedules, develop proposals using cost/benefit analyses, and recommend equipment purchase or lease. Coordinate installation and evaluation of proposed hardware and software to ensure compatibility with existing systems. Coordinate and direct programming activities, resolve network performance and capacity issues, and recommend contractor or vendor services as appropriate. Direct, coordinate, and monitor contractor and vendor performance; manage project team members, resolve complex technology issues, and ensure compliance with budget and project goals. Develop and administer the hospital IT security strategy, policies, and procedures for network availability, security, and related issues. Ensure overall compliance with regulatory standards such as CBAHI, JCIA, ACI, and other regulations. Oversee and participate in the development of the IT budget, including capital expenses for technology projects. Conduct annual information management needs assessments to evaluate the need for new and existing technology and aid in planning related initiatives. Communicate IT plans, policies, and technology trends throughout the organization. Collaborate with service line managers and department directors to design and implement IT process improvements, streamlining departmental functionality. Plan and supervise development and delivery of training programs for management and staff on automated systems and equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Management and supervisory skills. Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software, and networks. Analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective verbal, presentation, and listening communication skills. Effective written communication skills. Computer skills including the use of accounting, spreadsheet, word‑processing, and graphics software. Experience with SAP (advantageous). Education / Licenses : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
