Key Responsibilities Draft and review legal agreements relevant to various business units, including Collective Investment Scheme managers and financial service providers Analyse legislation and provide practical legal advice tailored to business needs Draft clear, concise, and commercially astute legal opinions Oversee legal documentation management and ensure compliance with relevant frameworks Report on legal risk matters to the line manager and contribute to risk forums Requirements Admitted Attorney with 1–5 years’ practical experience in a commercial law firm or financial institution Knowledge of CISCA, FAIS, and the Financial Sector Regulation Act is advantageous Understanding of the Protection of Personal Information Act preferred Familiarity with investment-related regulations (e.g., Regulation 28, Insurance Act, Medical Schemes Act) is a plus Strong commercial legal experience within the financial services sector is highly desirable Key Competencies Exceptional legal drafting and legislative interpretation skills Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities A proactive, strategic thinker with the ability to align legal support with business objectives Resilient under pressure, capable of managing multiple priorities Collaborative team player with a continuous learning mindset EE Disclaimer All positions will be filled in accordance with the company's Employment Equity plan.
