Overview Team Leader: Credit Intelligence Analysis at Capitec. The role is to take ownership of the credit account management strategy across all Business Bank credit products, including Overdrafts, Term Loans, Merchant Loans, Credit Cards, VAF, RHL, and CPF. Key Responsibilities Lead the credit account management strategy to optimise portfolio health and performance. Build, maintain, and enhance early warning triggers for clients at risk of default. Influence and shape SICR (Significant Increase in Credit Risk) strategies. Collaborate closely with Collections, Provisions, Modelling, and Implementation teams to deliver aligned credit outcomes. Drive innovation in account management processes, reporting, and automation. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a high-performance culture. Requirements Strong background in credit risk management or account management within business banking. Proven ability to design and implement credit risk strategies and triggers. Solid understanding of IFRS 9 / SICR frameworks. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple teams. Leadership experience with a track record of delivering results in a credit environment. Experience 6 - 8 years’ experience in retail credit (including advanced analytics, statistical modelling, as well as policy and process enhancement). If Honours degree: 5 - 7 years’ experience in retail credit analysis (including SQL programming and descriptive analytics). Minimum of 3 years Portfolio specific experience. Experience working with / contributing towards credit principles, policies, frameworks.
