Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective English lessons that foster a love of language, literature and communication Teach the English curriculum creatively, adapting lessons and pedagogies to meet diverse student needs and promote holistic growth Create a stimulating classroom environment that nurtures curiosity, critical thinking and confidence in language use Develop and update lesson plans, schemes of work and assessments to support curriculum goals and monitor student progress Set clear learning objectives, provide constructive feedback and adjust teaching strategies to enhance individual development Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments and progress reports Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development and whole‑school initiatives Engage in extracurricular and co‑curricular activities that enrich students’ learning experiences Communicate effectively with parents, guardians and colleagues to support each student’s academic and personal growth Requirements Minimum Qualifications: a degree (NQF level 7) and PGCE or B. Education Primary with a specialization in the subjects to be taught English SACE registration and Police Clearance required. Experience Afrikaans teacher with English qualification preferred; novice graduates may apply. Strong classroom management, organisational, and communication skills. Computer literate and able to integrate technology into lessons. Growth mindset, proactive attitude, student‑centered approach. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
