**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons for grades 6-9.
- Create a positive, supportive, and fun classroom atmosphere that fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of gifted students.
- Encourage and inspire students to achieve their full academic potential.
- Regularly communicate with parents about their children's academic progress.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Supervise extramural activities outside of school hours.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Education, or equivalent.
- Qualified teacher with registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics, English and Drama at senior primary and junior high school level is preferred.
- An understanding of gifted children is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to take initiative.
- A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
