Description Opportunity at an established and reputable Consultancy in Cape Town for a Bookkeeper to join their ranks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the required qualification and experience to join a modern and fast-growing accounting and consultancy firm in order to build a career in the industry. The candidate will have a minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably in an accounting firm environment, and completion or partial completion of SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA articles. A candidate with the intention of a long-term commitment would be viewed favourably. Solid experience working with Caseware, compiling AFS and assisting with audits will secure. Duties and Responsibilities: Preparing accounting work relating to compilations of annual financial statements. Preparation and Review of financial statements in Caseware. Compilations of Annual Financial Statements on Caseware. Perform high level tax compliance. Preparation and Review of management accounts. Writing up of more complex accounting records of clients. Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis. Reconcile Debtors and Creditors on a monthly basis. Payroll and other monthly reviews. Reviewing work done by supervised staff before partner review, where applicable. Ad hoc accounting and tax work. Client interaction and relations. Qualifications and Experience: Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Accounting or similar. Partial or completed SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA articles. AGA(SA) or PA(SA) an advantage. Experience with CaseWare, Xero, Pastel, Sage. Remuneration: R20,000 to R30,000 pm, depending on experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
