Background A Lecturer is qualified to Masters’ level and has expertise in a particular subject which is taught proficiently at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level programmes. A Lecturer is research-active and is beginning to publish their work in peer‑reviewed journals. A Lecturer is involved in the work of their Department and takes on administrative roles that assist the Department to function. Person Specification Essential Masters in Mechanical Engineering PLUS Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 5 years of relevant teaching/work experience OR Research‑active: evidence of work published in peer‑reviewed journals. Desirable Demonstrable evidence of quality teaching. Clear evidence of good teaching performance / research publications in Scopus / SCI journals. University Service (administration). Community Service (contributions to the wider profession). Academic Leadership & Collegiality.
