Duties & Responsibilities Support the Registered Nurse (RN) in providing quality care to elderly residents. Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Administer medication as prescribed by the RN or medical practitioner. Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and hygiene. Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of all care provided. Assist with feeding and ensure residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration. Provide emotional support and foster a caring, respectful environment. Assist with wound care, catheter care, and other basic nursing procedures as directed. Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed at all times. Support admission, transfer, and discharge of residents. Participate in team meetings, shift handovers, and continuous care planning. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the nursing team. Desired Experience & Qualification Enrolled Nurse qualification recognised by SANC 2–3 years' experience working with elderly patients, particularly those with cognitive or age‑related conditions. Willingness and flexibility to work day and night shifts. Professional, confident, and well‑presented individual with strong interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for caring for the elderly.
