VP of Finance & Operations – Venture Capital | Cape Town | Remote CAnnection has partnered with a UK based VC firm that's rethinking how venture capital is done. My client is now looking for their first VP of Finance & Operations — someone to be the operational and financial backbone of the business, and a key driving force as they scale. You’ll take full ownership of finance and operations, from fund reporting and compliance to running internal processes and supporting data‑driven portfolio decisions. Responsibilities Overseeing the fund model — budgeting, cash flow, and forecasting Managing fund accounting, audits, tax, and compliance Providing liquidity insights and analysis to support portfolio decisions Overseeing entity management and keeping everything running efficiently Managing treasury, banking, FCA compliance, and key stakeholder relationships Coordinating deal execution from end to end Supporting portfolio financial functions and fundraising processes Supporting LP reporting and fundraising strategy for future funds Qualifications Qualified CA(SA) 3+ years in a top‑tier accounting firm (Big Four or similar) plus 2+ years in venture capital, private equity, or a high‑growth startup environment Strong comfort with audit processes, compliance, and fund administration Excellent judgement and communication skills — able to distil complexity and influence decisions High‑performance finance leader with a founder's mindset Benefits Competitive compensation A fast‑paced, ambitious but human environment — offering unparalleled learning and growth Direct exposure to Europe's top founders and the world's best LPs High-impact role : you'll be the business's engine, defining how the firm scales and operates while shaping its fund strategy Action : direct exposure to Europe's top founders and the world's best LPs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
