South Africa - KwaZulu Natal , eThekwini Central (Durban / Pinetown / Umlazi) We are currently seeking a Branch Manager with experience in industrial insulation, piping, or fabrication to lead branch operations in Durban. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff, maintain client relationships, and drive growth within the region. Requirements Minimum: Matric / Grade 12 Advantageous: Technical Diploma (Mechanical / Industrial Engineering, Operations, or similar) Experience in industrial insulation, fabrication, construction, or related technical environment 3–5 years of experience in branch management/operations/site management Strong leadership and team management skills Valid Driver’s License & willingness to travel locally when required. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily branch operations and workflow Manage and mentor branch staff Maintain strong customer relationships and client retention Prepare budgets, cost control, and ensure profitability Drive new business development and sales activities Ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations Reporting to Head Office on operational and financial performance Control operational costs and ensure efficient resource utilization. Approve procurement, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective sourcing. Analyse financial data to identify areas for improvement. Quality & Compliance Ensure all work meets industry standards (SANS standards, insulation specifications, metal fabrication requirements). Implement continuous improvement projects to enhance quality, efficiency, and safety. Maintain accurate documentation, job cards, and compliance records. Required Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent understanding of industrial insulation, cladding, and sheet metal fabrication processes. Solid financial acumen and strategic planning abilities. Strong negotiation, customer service, and relationship-building skills. Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret technical drawings, material requirements, and project specifications. Knowledge of safety standards and industry regulations.
