START: June 2024 (pre-opening & induction)

TRADING HOURS:

  • Monday – Sunday (Shifts)
  • Must be able to work weekends & all major holidays as per the hotel's operation
  • 7-8 days off per month

REPORTS TO: Spa Manager

REMUNERATION & COMPANY BENEFITS

  • R7,000 per month Gross +
  • 20% Services Commission earned after working back Basic Salary
  • 10% Retail Commission earned.
  • Staff meal on duty
  • Medical aid contribution (Discovery / single application status only)
  • Provident Fund contribution

SCOPE OF THE JOB:

The Hair Stylist has a thorough knowledge of all guest services and performs professional Hair Services, including cutting & styling of all hair types (Ethnic & Caucasian ).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Qualified Hair Stylist (3-year diploma)
  2. Trade Certified (red seal)

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Thorough understanding of current trends in hair styles, cuts, perms, and colouring.
  • Confident working on both Caucasian AND Ethnic hair types (cut & style)
  • Superior verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with clients to understand and help them explain complex or specific requests.
  • Thorough understanding of salon offerings.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Thorough understanding of hair styling equipment and maintenance.
  • Ability to work under pressure as contributing member of the team.

EXPERIENCE:

  • TWO+ years working experience within a high end salon OR ship salon
