What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it) You will be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and capturing cash movements, investment trades, and updating transactions on the accounting system to ensure accurate and timely delivery of the Net Asset Value (NAV). It also involves performing cash and stock reconciliations, investigating outstanding issues, and resolving any discrepancies to avoid NAV errors. Monitoring asset pricing and pricing sources, calculating expenses and accruals, and producing accurate NAV reports are crucial tasks. Proactively resolving queries with stakeholders, implementing company policies and procedures, and adhering to compliance requirements are essential. Where you’ll be doing it You’ll be joining one of Cape Town's premier investment administration firms, servicing clients worldwide. There is an opportunity to work hybrid, once you have completed comprehensive training. What you’ll need To excel in this role, you'll need a completed degree including Accounting/ Finance/ Investment. Completed SAICA/ SAIPA articles and experience in a similar finance role are essential. You’ll need to have excellent numeracy skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work well under pressure. Your strong problem-solving abilities will be critical to navigating the intricacies of fund accounting.
