Summary of Role Oversee and lead maintenance procedures in the company. Responsible for developing maintenance procedures and ensuring their implementation throughout the plant. Carry out inspections of the plant and identify any problems which may arise. Duties & Responsibilities Reporting on machines. Ensure all machines are working. Ensure machines are kept in optimal condition. Enforce that all job cards are completed and updated properly. Communicate to Manager any issues with machines to prevent unnecessary downtime. Ensure Artisans complete work in a professional manner without shortcuts. Train and assist Artisans to provide them with the knowledge required to repair machines to the best of their abilities. Ensure Artisans are working with high efficiency. Audit machines. Ensure critical spares required are kept in stock. Ensure check sheets on tools are completed. Enforce strict discipline on workshop cleanliness. Ensure incident reports are completed if a machine is damaged. Assist with large maintenance changes on machines. Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area. Perform other related duties as assigned. Ensure that housekeeping rules are adhered to. Ensure all equipment and machines are placed in the right location when not in use. Ensure that all machines and equipment are up to working standards. Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance. Ensure that the work area is free from hazards and hazardous activities. Be aware of, and communicate to superiors, any potential or actual failures to meet service level requirements. Liaise with direct Manager on a daily basis.
