Medical Specialist - Diagnostic Radiology Reference Number : refs/ Number of Posts : 1 Package : R (per annum) (All-inclusive - package) Enquiries : Dr L Gabuza Tel- / 4556 Ms L Maseko Tel- Requirements Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Diagnostic Radiology. Registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Diagnostic Radiology and proof of current registration. No experience required after registration, but experience and training in Interventional Radiology will be regarded as an added advantage. Duties Interview, investigate, diagnose, and oversee the treatment of patients. Improve quality of care by providing appropriate clinical care and supervising junior medical staff. Willing to perform commuted overtime, including after‑hour, night, weekend, and public holiday duties to provide continuous care. Attend relevant administrative meetings such as mortality and near‑miss meetings, complete MEDICO legal documents (e.g., death certificates) time‑suitably. Participate in the hospital’s academic programme, teaching and research activities. Ensure proper and accurate record keeping as legally and ethically required. Report to the head of unit on service delivery, clinical audit, and where necessary, quality improvement plans. Assist the head of department in monitoring compliance with National Core Standards within specific outreach programmes. Prepare and write reports and collaborate with the clinical head on administrative duties.
