Introduction Quantum Foods has a career opportunity at one of it’s Breeder Farms in Gauteng for a Supervisor Farming Operations I to join their dynamic team. This positions will report directly to the Manager Farming Operations II and will also be responsible for operational procedures on a Breeder farm. The position will be based in Carletonville, Gauteng (Hartebeespoort Breeders). Responsible for supervising operational procedures on the Tydstroom Breeder farm Supervise equipment and optimise raw material stock Supervise farming operations cost efficiencies, adhere and ensure conformance to all SOP’s Supervise personnel and plan work distribution; administer strict biosecurity protocols Relevant 4 year Degree/National Diploma (Agricultrual) Minimum of 5 years relevant poultry farming operations experience Knowledge of: Health & Safety Regulations, electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance Animal Welfare, Bio-security procedures and vaccine administration Efficient in the use of Microsoft office Valid driver’s license is mandatory, need to be comfortable staying on the farm (housing provided) Need to be comfortable to do night check routines on farm premises on a frequent basis Weekend duties and overtime expected Clear criminal record At Quantum Foods we are committed to Employment Equity and offer a competitive salary package and benefits.
