The President Hotel is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, and we are creating a new opportunity for an Assistant In-Room Dining Manager to join our team.We are seeking a motivated and guest-focused Assistant Room Service Manager to support the daily operations of the In-Room Dining department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to ensure seamless service delivery that exceeds guest expectations.Experience & RequirementsMinimum 2 to 3 years experience in food & beverage or in-room dining operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleDiploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or F&B Service advantageousStrong knowledge of room service operations, service etiquette, and quality standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for guest serviceProven ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environmentStrong organisational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidaysProficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel systems (Opera PMS advantageous)Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist the In-Room Dining Manager in overseeing daily operations of the In-Room Dining departmentSupervise and motivate room service staff to deliver prompt, professional, and courteous serviceEnsure orders are prepared and delivered accurately and in line with brand standardsHandle guest feedback and resolve service issues efficiently and professionallyMonitor staff performance, provide training, and support career developmentAssist in creating and implementing room service SOPs to enhance efficiency and guest satisfactionEnsure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all timesCollaborate with the Kitchen, F&B, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless coordination of guest ordersManage inventory, supplies, and equipment for in-room dining serviceAbout the HotelThe President Hotel is on a journey to be recognised as a true luxury destination.Our purpose: to create and inspire memorable experiences.Our vision: to become Cape Towns most loved hotel.Set in the heart of Bantry Bay, between Cape Towns vibrant city life and the Atlantic Ocean, the hotel offers 349 stylish rooms, suites, and apartments, breathtaking views, a palm-lined infinity pool, world-class dining, and state-of-the-art conference and event venues.
