Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Bookkeeper to assist in managing financial records and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date accounting records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and producing financial reports.Key Responsibilities:Maintain accurate financial recordsProcess and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivablePerform bank reconciliations and ensure transactions are recorded correctlyStay current with accounting principles and regulationsAssist with onboarding processes when neededSupport secretarial duties and ensure client complianceHandle necessary requirements to maintain compliance with SARSRequirements:Proficient in Xero Accounting (experience with Sage and Pastel Partner is advantageous)Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally in the consultancy industryStrong understanding of accounting principles and practicesDiploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldsMeticulous, proactive, and hardworkingWillingness to learn and take on new tasksExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong customer service skills and client communication abilitiesAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, especially with a high volume of clients handled monthly
