Sales Representative

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (sales-related certificate or diploma advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years' external sales experience, preferably within the building and construction industry
• Experience selling aggregates (sand and stone), roof tiles, or similar construction products
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English (spoken and written)
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle (essential)
• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Willing to travel extensively and work Saturdays when required

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and following up on leads
• Manage existing customer relationships while growing market share
• Follow up on planned, tendered, and awarded construction projects
• Negotiate pricing within company guidelines to achieve sales targets
• Plan and manage sales routes efficiently
• Prepare quotations and follow up on projects and customer enquiries
• Liaise with production regarding stock availability and delivery requirements
• Provide weekly sales forecasts and project updates to management
• Deliver excellent customer service and technical product support where required
