Responsibilities:AnalysisManage the investment process related to all prospective transactions and business opportunities including inter alia engaging with clients to obtain data and information, liaising with internal valuations team regarding process and methodologiesEffective engagement with clients in respect of the required transaction data and information to evaluate investment opportunitiesPrepare investment case documentation to assist the investment committee in evaluating business opportunitiesDevelop, improve functionality and maintain accuracy of financial models underpinning the investment case for each transaction opportunityConduct financial and statistical analysis and review of opportunities with the view to identifying new business opportunities and developing new return / investment evaluation metricsDevelop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business divisions to effectively manage client requirements and executionAssist with the preparation of client presentationsIdentifying transaction opportunities (vanilla and structured transactions) through researching and reviewing clients analyst/results presentations/annual reports with the aim of delivering bespoke capital solutions that meets their objectivesMaintain a thorough understanding of the impact accounting policiesResearch and originationInitiating and developing innovative ways of attracting new client businessConduct research to assist the Executive with the development of new business strategies, both locally and internationallyIdentify potential acquisition opportunities (local and international) through conducting research and analysis (based on private and public information)Present analysis to the investment committee and stakeholders in coherent business case submissions Requirements:Bachelors Degree (Honours) Investment management or equivalent qualification (CA(SA) / CFA advantageous / preferred), Statistics, Actuarial or a related field3-5 years experience in corporate finance analysis / financial analysis / business analysis, analytics, modelling.Technically proficient with strong analytical skillsBusiness writing and corporate communication abilityStrong Accounting and Analysis proficiencyGood interpersonal skillsEmotional intelligenceOperates with Integrity, Respect, Innovation and CompetenceSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and the ability to collaborate effectivelyStrong sense of urgency and proven capability to work within a fast-paced environmentAbility to work and communicate with Executive managementWork within multiple teams to achieve goals and objectives of the organisation and clientsOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
