The division's product design expertise lies in creating innovative, battery-powered consumer LED lighting solutions and seamlessly integrating electronic switches into a wide range of consumer products.

Overall purpose:

  • Product design and development of electronic modules for mass production within ISO framework.
  • Research and development of innovating ideas for new product design concepts.
  • Co-ordinating product development, design, testing and production within a team.
  • Managing project scope before, during and after delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance to designated team(s).
  • Support the development of individuals by providing motivation, support, and leadership to promote career growth.
  • Act as a domain specialist and support wider and more in-depth knowledge growth of individuals and teams.
  • High-level direction, product, technical strategies, and technologies
  • Core responsibilities include:
  • Capturing customer product requirements in a specification to deliver against.
  • Analog and digital circuit design and schematic capturing and review.
  • Co-ordinating PCB design and layout.
  • Embedded firmware development for MCUs and ASICs.
  • Testing and qualifying prototype products for mass production.
  • Ensuring compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
  • Compliance to sustainability standards.
  • Customer support with integration and design for manufacturing.
  • Technical support of third-party manufacturers during the production process.
  • Support of production and testing team.
  • Maintaining and supporting products post-design (cradle to grave principle).
  • Maintaining QMS system for own products/projects.
  • Development of concept demonstrators and marketing collateral.
  • Collaboration with other teams to support the development of new technology.
  • Distribute information to team members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with teams to identify risk and resolve technical problems.
  • Guiding a team through technical issues and challenges.
  • Monitoring and evaluating technical and leadership growth of team members.
  • Skills required:
  • Project management skills to ensure products are delivered on time according to the customer requirements.
  • Electronic product design and development experience.
  • Any related hands-on experience in product manufacturing, testing and quality assurance.
  • Working knowledge of Altium Designer or similar CAD package.
  • Ÿ Basic CAD modelling of designs in SolidWorks or similar.
  • Ÿ Proficient with MCU firmware development in (C, C++) as well as Gitlab for version control.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively interface with internal teams, external stakeholders and customers.
  • Working knowledge of quality management system (ISO9001:2015) as part of product design and development.
  • Leadership skills to manage and lead a small team, with experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
  • Ability to think strategically and possess a future-focused outlook, contributing to the development of a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with the company's long-term vision.
