We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of business and drive the company's financial strategy and planning. You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments. As a reliable professional, you will have a broad knowledge to all accounting, financial and business principles. As a strategic thinker and effective leader you can make the most profitable decisions, guiding the company towards profitability and long-term success. The position is based in Cape Town city centre.Requirements:Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant fieldSAIPA/CIMA/CA plusProficient in the use of financial management software eg. SAP and otherSolid knowledge of financial analysis and forecastingOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesAnalytical mind with a strategic abilityIn depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practicesProven experience as director of finance or similar roleResponsibilities:Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risksRetain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problemsSet up and oversee the company's finance IT systemSet targets for and supervise all accounting and finance staff - management accountants, internal auditors and moreOversee all audit and internal control operationsPrepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basisConduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executivesEnsure adherence to financial laws and guidelinesBe responsible for the company's long-term financial health and growthEstablish strategies that will earn profits, oversee accounting operations, produce accurate reports on where money is going within the businessImprove or change current practices to increase efficiency If you are a resilient, honest and has integrity and a financial expert who know how to interpret complex financial information and add value to this dynamic company, this position might just be for you.
