Experience:
  • 3 years experience in Opencast Mining Operations
  • Experience as a Load & Haul Supervisor will be advantageous.
  • Additional information:
  • Valid South African Drivers license
  • Must be prepared to work overtime and shifts if required.
  • Good written verbal and communication skills in English
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Must be in possession or able to obtain a Certificate of Fitness
Job Description:
  • Your daily duties will include but not limited to:
  • Ensure legal compliance for Safe Profitable Production.
  • Ensure machine checklists are submitted daily.
  • Ensure PPE are worn by all employees within area of responsibility.
  • Maintain discipline within the section through the consistent application of all standards and procedures.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and provide continuous feedback to the section regarding the performance efficiencies, standards of the section labour, equipment and targets.
  • Build effective relationships with other supervisors and stakeholders within the operation.
  • Control discipline and ensure fair decisions regarding Industrial Relations.
  • Liaise with the Pit Sup regarding daily, weekly and monthly progress to plan, and employee resources.
  • Liaise with the other Supervisors to ensure that any problems that could overlap with other sections are pro-actively identified and discussed.
  • Monitor the Load and Haul activities to identify any possible problems or risk areas to the section and schedule remedy actions
Salary R 35 000.00 per month
