We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Software Product Owner to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in defining and prioritizing features for our software products and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.

What you’ll do:

  • The Product Owner will elicit, facilitate, synthesize, and present technical solutions.
  • The candidate will use business requirements to drive the design or review of products, test cases, and business process design and define a project’s vision, scope, acceptance, and implementation.
  • The successful candidate will form part of the IT team and report to the Software Product Manager.
  • Our ideal candidate can work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into usable information, which will help to improve systems and processes.
  • Consult various customers (internal and external) to understand their value chain, structure, functions, and products and/or services.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Challenge the business in their thinking, especially to understand the intent of the business requirement.
  • With little supervision, elicit, gather, analyze, document, validate, and communicate business requirements (Agile and Waterfall Formats)
  • Determine the feasibility of a proposed project.
  • Understand the commercial importance of changes or new features.
  • Estimate total project duration based on experience.
  • Working closely with Business Owners, workstream Managers, and stakeholders in identifying and managing dependencies.
  • Perform Process Re-engineering of customer processes.
  • Facilitate JAD Sessions.
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing.
  • Perform Scrum Master Tasks for internal development team and coorientate with external supplier development teams.

Your Expertise:

  • 5 years’ previous experience as a Senior Business Analyst/ Product Owner in Software Development projects.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Agile Software development Projects.
  • Business Analyst/ Product Owner experience in the Retail Industry (Advantageous).

Qualifications Required:

  • Matric/ Grade 12 or A-Levels.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification/ Informatics degree.
  • Post Graduate degree/ Honours degree / Business Analyst diploma, BABOK Certification, Agile Certification.
