Responsibilities: Maintain and monitor AWS and Teraco environments to ensure 99.9% uptime.Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.Optimize scalability, security, and performance of AWS services (EC2, RDS, ECS, Lambda, etc.)Utilize monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana for system visibility and alertingPerform regular patching and upgrades based on the approved patch policyPlan and execute maintenance windows with minimal service disruptionAddress vulnerabilities using scan results (e.g., Rapid7) to ensure environment complianceDeploy approved GitLab pipelines into production based on JSM change requests. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.One or more of the following certifications (current and maintained):AWS Certified DevOps EngineerAWS Certified Solutions Architect AssociateAWS Certified SysOps Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateLPI Linux EssentialsRed Hat Certified System AdministratorMinimum of 3 years in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.Hands-on experience in managing production workloads in AWS.Proven expertise in Linux server administrationAdvanced knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, CloudFormation, Lambda, etc.).Strong experience with Terraform and other IaC tools.Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar.Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration (ECS a plus).Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar tools Reference Number for this position is GZ60640 which is a permanent Hybrid position based in Century City offering a cost to company salary of R720k per annum
