Receptionist / Practice Manager

About the Role
As the face of our practice, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering an outstanding patient experience. This position is full-time, requiring availability Monday to Friday (full day) and Saturday (half day).
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients with warmth and professionalism.
- Manage the practices front desk, including scheduling appointments and managing diaries.
- Efficiently handle phone calls, emails, and patient enquiries.
- Process patient billing and payments using Altron HealthTech - Elixir Live systems.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collect payments from patients at the time of consultation, follow up on outstanding accounts with patients in a professional and timely manner, and manage the practices debtor book to ensure all accounts are up to date and reconciled.
- Oversee the practices day-to-day administrative tasks, ensuring a well-organized and functional office environment.
- Liaise with medical suppliers and service providers as needed.
- Assist with additional office duties, such as inventory management and reporting.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical practice or similar environment required.
- Experience with Altron HealthTech - Elixir Live stystem is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities.
- Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanour.
- Must be able to work full days from Monday to Friday and half days on Saturdays.
