The Procurement Administrator will be responsible for managing procurement processes, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely availability of materials and components needed for manufacturing operations. The role requires a proactive individual with strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions, and manage supplier performance.
  • Procurement Process: Execute purchase orders, track orders, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and alignment with production schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and manage replenishment cycles to prevent shortages while optimizing stock turnover rates.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, ensure compliance with company policies, and assist in internal audits.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for management review.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in a procurement or buying role, ideally within the mining, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
