The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and ensuring the timely delivery of raw materials essential to the production process.Key Responsibilities:Source and purchase raw materials and packaging based on production requirementsNegotiate pricing, payment terms, and supplier agreementsDevelop and maintain strong supplier relationshipsMonitor market trends and pricing fluctuationsEnsure timely delivery and availability of raw materials to avoid production delaysWork closely with production, planning, and inventory teamsMaintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policiesEvaluate supplier performance and manage riskRequirements:Matric (Grade 12) + Diploma/Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or similarMinimum 35 years procurement experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environmentStrong negotiation and supplier management skillsKnowledge of raw materials used in food or FMCG production is essentialProficient in MS Excel and procurement/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, Syspro)Excellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
