If youâre technically savvy, thrive in a fast-paced, automated environment, and know your way around hi-tech machinery, this could be your next career move. To ensure excellent service to both internal and external customers by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of advanced production machinery to produce quality products efficiently and safely.Minimum Requirements:Grade 12 / MatricN4 or equivalent trade qualification (Mechanical or Electrical)Minimum 5 yearsâ experience in an automated manufacturing environmentProven ability to operate and maintain high-tech machineryStrong understanding of production processes and QMS systemsKey Responsibilities:Set up, operate, and maintain automatic machinery (e.g., Plate Enveloping, COS, Shorts Testing, TTP Welding, Heat Sealing, Leak Testing, and Date Coding machines)Ensure correct tooling, moulds, and heads are in place for each production shiftTroubleshoot and correct any issues impacting production rate or product qualityKeep all machinery clean and in safe working orderMonitor extraction and cooling water systems to ensure consistent operationDeliver consistent, high-quality output in line with customer and company standardsImmediately halt production and investigate if quality issues arise - correct and prevent recurrenceMaintain accurate records, including production logs, SPC data, and attribute chartsEnsure all relevant job cards and permits are completed prior to maintenance tasks (including hot work, elevated work, and vessel entry permits)Adhere to safety, housekeeping, and quality requirements per company standardsCommunicate effectively with suppliers, customers, peers, and managementParticipate in safety audits and support continuous improvement effortsAssist other departments when requiredKnowledge & Skills Required:In-depth technical knowledge of manufacturing machinery and processesFamiliarity with OSH Act regulationsUnderstanding of internal company processes and systemAssertive and confidentAnalytical and systematic thinkerAdaptable, resilient, and flexibleCustomer-oriented and quality-drivenTo Apply:Submit your updated CV, Matric certificate, and trade qualification.If you do not receive a response within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
