Delaire Graff Wine Lounge is looking for a Seasonal Hostess (fixed term contract) to join their team and be the first point of contact for our guests and ensure to provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guest.Responsibilities:Welcome guests to the venueEscort guests to assigned dining or bar areasManager reservationsProvide menus and announce waiter/waitress nameGreet guests upon their departureCoordinate with wait staff about available seating optionsMaintain hostess desk clean and tidyCater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)Answer incoming calls and address guests’ queriesAssist with wait staff as neededRequirements:Grade 12, hospitality certificate will be a plusGrade 12, hospitality certificate will be a plusPreferably 1- 2 years previous hostess experienceUnderstanding of restaurant etiquetteFamiliarity with health and safety regulationsExperience in managing reservationsAble to work in a teamDemonstrable customer-service skillsExcellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar areaAvailability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, public holidays, weekends)Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shiftComfortable in dealing with very distinguished clienteleAble to handle high a pressure environmentMust be well-presentedFlexibility and AccountabilityEnthusiastic personalityDelaire Graff Estate is an equal opportunity employer.
