CORE PURPOSE OF JOB


ï‚·To facilitate learning, teaching and research with undergraduate and postgraduate radiographystudents.
ï‚·To facilitate the learning process for undergraduate and postgraduate students intending tobecome radiographers.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS


ï‚·Facilitate the learning and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate radiography students.
ï‚·Conduct clinical teaching and assessment at accredited training facilities.
ï‚·Perform academic administrative duties.
ï‚·Facilitate academic engagement.
ï‚·Participate in research activities in the department.

CORE COMPETENCIES


ï‚·In-depth knowledge of the theory and practice of Diagnostic Radiography.
ï‚·Experience of clinical radiographic teaching and assessment.
ï‚·Experience in teaching academic radiographic modules.
ï‚·Strong skills in dealing with people at all levels.
ï‚·Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


To be considered for the Senior Lecturer position, in addition to the above requirements the following is required:


Qualifications Masters degree in Radiography or other relevant masters degree PhD registration or qualification as an advantage Professional registration and CPD involvement Registration as a Radiographer with the HPCSA

Proven record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Experience

At least 2 to 6 years experience in lecturing Radiography to under- and/or postgraduate students,and relevant working experience in a clinical Radiography environment.Research Conducts research in the discipline of Radiography.

Proven track-record of research supervision and recent DHET accredited publications
