Nelson Mandela University seeks a qualified Radiography Educator to facilitate learning, teaching and research with undergraduate and postgraduate radiography students. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the theory and practice of Diagnostic Radiography and experience of clinical radiographic teaching and assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the learning and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate radiography students
  • Conduct clinical teaching and assessment at accredited training facilities
  • Perform academic administrative duties
  • Facilitate academic engagement
  • Participate in research activities in the department
Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Radiography or a relevant field, and have experience in lecturing radiography to under- and/or postgraduate students. PhD registration or qualification is an advantage. Professional registration and CPD involvement are also required.

In addition, the candidate should have a proven track-record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and experience in a clinical Radiography environment. Research experience, including conducting research in the discipline of Radiography and recent DHET accredited publications, is highly valued.

Estimated Salary Range:

R 600,000 - R 900,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
