This role involves assessing customer creditworthiness, managing credit limits and payment terms, ensuring compliance with credit insurance policies, and proactively mitigating credit risks to optimize company cash flow and profitability. This role is ideal if you are a proactive and analytical professional with a strong background in credit risk management. You will possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating a team and building robust relationships with customers and insurance partners. Demonstrate attention to detail, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively implement and oversee credit risk procedures.This position is in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.Requirements:BCom Degree in Financial ManagementExperience with foreign clientele - to your advantageAny other professional membershipStrong leader to manage a team of cost controllers and debtors clerksComputer literate Responsibilities:Review and approve customer credit limits and repayment termsReview and develop internal procedures for approvalEnsure that staff is properly trainedManage staff to deliver on expected outputsEnsure that best practice processes and procedures are implemented and followed to reduce the group's credit risk to an acceptable levelEngage with credit insurers and ensure that policies are maintained and renewed on timeEngage with customers to build lasting relationshipsAssist with debt collection effortsEnsure that all requirements as per insurance policies are adhered to - monitor compliance with the terms and conditions of credit insurance policies to avoid coverage gapsReporting on current debtor's book: Reports on the status of outstanding debts, including aged receivables, payment trends and the collections progressProactively manage credit risk of the business: identifying high-risk customers or sectors and taking proactive actions to mitigate potential lossesBuild a high-performing teamReady to join a dynamic company?
