Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, bake, and present high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts in line with restaurant standards.
  • Work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to develop new and seasonal menu items.
  • Ensure all food safety standards are met, including the maintenance of hygiene and cleanliness in the pastry section.
  • Assist with stock control and inventory management of pastry ingredients.
  • Manage junior staff and apprentices, providing guidance and mentoring as required.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring timely production and consistency.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pastry Chef de Partie role or similar.
  • Formal culinary training with a focus on pastry.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including chocolate work, sugar work, and bread making.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
