About the role
We are seeking a skilled professional to manage our clients financial records up to the trial balance. As a junior
accountant, you will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and
receivable, reconciling bank statements and preparing comprehensive financial reports. Your role is pivotal in
ensuring our clients financial data is precise, compliant with regulations, and ready for strategic use by
management.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Records: Maintain and update the company's financial records and transactions.
  • Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
  • Payroll: Process payroll accurately and ensure timely tax payments.
  • Reporting: Prepare and file tax returns, financial reports, and manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Compliance: Conduct regular audits of financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support: Respond to financial inquiries and provide support to management.
  • VAT Returns: Handle the processing of VAT returns and e-filing.
Requirements
  • South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must not have participated on the programme before.
  • A post-matric qualification, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: At least [Number] years of experience in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Sage one accounting, Xero, QuickBooks and other cloud accounting
    tools.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to
    manage multiple tasks and deadlines and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
