Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Nursing Diploma or Degree and SANC registration as a Registered Nurse & NIMART trained
  • 2+ years nursing experience, posts graduation
  • Due to study protocol only male candidates can be considered
  • Experience in health sector / clinical environment with at least 1 years experience in a research environment and knowledge of HIV including PrEP
  • Fluency in English & Xhosa with good MS Office ability
  • Able to work with youth of diverse backgrounds
  • Valid drivers and willing to travel
  • Contract is due to end in February 2026
  • Must have dispensing license


The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Clinical Procedures clinical observations and procedures; ensure clinical areas / equipment are maintained; arrange medical waste collection; maintain equipment lists; medical condition guidance to participants
  • Protocol specific procedures oversee participant visits; manage screening, consent, enrolment & follow ups; perform interviews and clinical study procedures
  • Laboratory support manage samples; maintain / record temperatures; assist with testing
  • Study admin assist with admin tasks; enter/transcribe research data; participate in meetings; assist in inventory ordering and equipment management
