About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Operations Manager focused on Quality Assurance to join their team in Polokwane. This role is essential for ensuring that all products and services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing quality assurance programs, leading QA teams, and driving continuous improvement in quality processes. The ideal candidate is a meticulous professional with a strong understanding of quality management systems and a commitment to maintaining excellence in operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive quality assurance strategies and procedures.
- Oversee the daily operations of the quality assurance department, including inspection, testing, and validation processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, fostering a culture of quality consciousness.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate quality best practices into all stages of product development and service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or technical field (e.g., Engineering, Chemistry, Biology).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality assurance or quality management.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001.
- Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
