Finance Manager

Key ResponsibilitiesManagement AccountingOversee and manage the financials across multiple business units.Implement and maintain robust financial systems and structures.Ensure financial targets are achieved and compliance standards are met.Maintain the integrity of financial records in line with IFRS standards.Financial ReportingPrepare and submit monthly forecasts, annual income statements, and balance sheets.Compile weekly and monthly dashboards and flash reports.Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) and propose corrective actions.Produce monthly financial packs and ensure timely reconciliations of general ledgers.Stock CountAssist with monthly stock counts across outbound and reverse logistics.Conduct bi-monthly cycle counts and report on findings.Investigate inventory variances and recommend corrective measures.Warehouse AnalyticsProvide insights and statistics on warehouse operations and KPIs.Conduct benchmarking between branches.Analyze inventory levels and identify inefficiencies or anomalies, implementing action plans where necessary.ComplianceOperate within established controls and procedures to ensure financial integrity.Monitor risks and maintain the departments risk register.Report compliance concerns and ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks to minimize waste and irregular expenditure.Cost and Financial ControlContribute to the budget preparation and implementation process.Monitor expenditure, ensuring spending remains within budget.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.Promote the efficient use of financial and other resources.Customer Service ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Represent the finance function in relevant meetings.Proactively resolve issues and demonstrate integrity aligned with company values.Ensure stakeholder needs are met and service level agreements are upheld.Candidate ProfileMinimum QualificationsBachelors Degree in Accounting (NQF 7)Preferred QualificationsBachelors Degree in Accounting (NQF 8)CIMA registrationMinimum ExperienceUp to 5 years of experience in an Accounting or similar role within the Manufacturing IndustryTechnical CompetenciesProficient in MS Office and relevant accounting/ERP systemsStrong understanding of IFRS and financial best practicesBehavioral CompetenciesProactive and action-orientedAnalytical with strong attention to detailAble to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent problem-solving and communication skills
