Senior Quality Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our team on a 12 months contract . This role will be a remote opportunity and the ideal candidate will have working experience within the Banking Industry and of analysing requirements and extracting test scenarios and test conditions from the business / functional requirements, strong knowledge with writing test cases from extracted test scenarios as well as understanding and experience in working with mainframe systems and testing mainframe systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support regression testing of legacy applications and as well as ad-hoc work.
  • Effectively work in a fast­ paced environment utilising the Agile methodology
  • Develop and maintain functional automation test scripts utilising frameworks and best practices
  • Execute test scripts to validate correct functionality of application
  • Perform various types of testing including smoke, white box, black box, integration, end­-to­-end, and regression
  • Participate in requirement & design review sessions evaluate requirements & design docs from a quality test automation standpoint
  • Document defects and evaluate priority of defect based on overall application functionality
  • Multi­task to meet assignment deadlines
  • Accurately estimate work assignments
  • Identify obstacles and roadblocks? and offer suggestions to work around obstacles
  • Help drive and improve QA process within the team you are assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Min 5 years Banking Industry
  • Exposure to Atlassian suit
  • Strong working experience in functional, system, integration and regression testing.
  • Intermediate to senior exposure on any automation tool
  • Must be able to debug applications and analyse the root cause
  • Should have good understanding of services
  • Able to run tests against services
  • Working experience of analysing requirements and extracting test scenarios and test conditions from the functional requirements
  • Strong understanding of writing test cases from extracted test scenarios
