Human Resource Manager

- 5+ years of HR experience, with a strong focus on training and development.
- Expert knowledge of SDL, WSP, ATR, and SETA requirements.
- Proven experience in handling SETA funding applications and discretionary grants.
- Strong understanding of BBBEE Skills Development and Employment Equity compliance.
- Excellent knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Any retail experience will give you a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
General Human Resources:
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding to ensure talent acquisition aligns with business needs.
- Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes, and grievance procedures in line with labour law.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and best practices.
- Support performance management initiatives, including goal setting, coaching, and succession planning.
- Provide guidance on employee wellness, retention strategies, and career development.
- Handle HR reporting, workforce planning, and compliance audits.
- Ensure alignment of HR strategies with overall business goals and organisational culture.
Training & Development:
- Develop and implement workforce training strategies that align with business needs.
- Manage the full SDL claims process, including Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR) submissions.
- Engage with SETA and regulatory bodies to optimise funding opportunities and discretionary grants.
- Identify skills gaps through training needs analysis and develop targeted learning solutions.
- Implementation of learnerships/internships.
- Monitor BBBEE Skills Development targets and ensure compliance with Employment Equity training objectives.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, employee feedback, and performance metrics.
- Manage relationships with external training providers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective programs.
- Keep up to date with changes in skills development legislation and ensure compliance.
