A well-established professional services firm, focused on delivering high-quality financial and tax services to their clients, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join them. Ideal candidates will have completed either SAIPA or SAICA articles and managed a team within a similar accounting firm environment. Why join this team?Opportunity to work in a dynamic, friendly and client-focused environment on the South Coast, KZNExposure to a diverse portfolio of clients and industriesCollaborative team culture with opportunities for growthWhat you will be doing:Prepare annual financial statements for various entities (companies, CCs, sole proprietors, partnerships, trusts)Ensure accuracy and timely completion of financials for audit purposesCompile and update audit packs and liaise with auditorsStay updated on IFRS for SMEs and apply changes to reportingProcess and validate financial transactions, including year-end adjustmentsResolve general ledger reconciliation queries with stakeholdersManage and train a small team and oversee a client portfolioPrepare and review advanced tax computations and returnsSupport client audits, reviews, and special projectsAct as the main liaison for assigned clientsPlan and manage workload to meet deadlinesCollaborate with internal teams and stakeholdersWhat we are looking for: Completed SAICA traineeship AGA(SA) eligible or SAIPA qualifiedMinimum 5 years' experience preparing financial statementsStrong knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEsProficient in MS Office, Caseware, and CaseViewStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independentlyValid driver's license and own vehicleBenefits and unique aspects: Manage your own portfolio with autonomyGain exposure to a wide range of clients and industriesSupportive team environment Please note if you haven't heard back from us within two weeks of submitting your application, unfortunately your application has not been successful this time.
