REQUIREMENTSAffirmative Action South African citizenRelevant National Diploma or Degree in Engineering3 -5 years of relevant experience in a production process or other production/ manufacturing environmentESSENTIAL SKILLSIn-depth knowledge of production quality and production managementAn in-depth understanding of the build of the vehicle, both assembly and EOL, would be advantageousKnowledge of audit processesUnderstanding of technical drawingsGood understanding of ISO quality management systems and document controlSound communication skills at all levels, both verbal and writtenComputer literacy (Windows, MS Office)Understanding of time studies and their impactTracking costs of expendable tools and identifying cost savings thereofKnowledge of Health and Safety (OHSE)ADDED ADVANTAGECAD/ Microstation literateStrong technical analysis skillsSpeaking and reading German are advantageousGroup systems literacy (SAP, HyperKVS, AVON, AP, FISeQs)Group production process knowledge and experienceRESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and set up production processes, implement new processes and attend to production problems which could prevent the achievement of quality targets and scheduled production volumes efficiently and cost-effectivelyContinuously identify improvement opportunities which will lead to robust processes, productivity, efficiency and cost improvementsLiaise between production and supporting departments to ensure station readiness during major projects and minor improvement implementationsParticipate in improvement workshops and implementation of ergonomic and standardised processesAnalyse the impact of ECRs, implement whilst maintaining process standards on the production lineParticipate in pre-series buildability topics and resolution thereofLiaison with supporting departments on problem analysis, corrective action and standardised process implementationConduct vehicle audits and sectional audits before external/ internal audits by Konzern or certification bodiesEnsure continuous improvement of processes, updating and/ or creating process documentation where applicableEnsure FIS data reporting accuracy, coordinate the creation of new processes for better management of processes
