Salary : 11 000 to R 13 000 per month

Based : Amanzimtoti

Qualifications , Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Minimum 35 years experience in purchasing of Chemicals or Engineering or Mining products
• Comprehensive knowledge of buying.
• Good technical knowledge, follow ups, quality orientated, has planning and organizing skills.
• Proficient computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
• Must have Experience in SYSPRO or equivalent

Required outputs: Functional

• Processing and placement of purchase orders with suppliers.
• Maintain supplier Master data.
• Liaise with production, engineering, transporters and suppliers on forecasts & purchases.
• Collaborate with other departments and assist where documents are required on goods delivered/ordered.
• Involved intensive administration duties, attention to detail, attending of local production meetings and meetings with suppliers to build quality working relationships.
• Evaluate, monitor and report on supplier performance by recording and measuring incoming material and quality, on time deliveries and service delivery.
• Confirm commercial sustainability of vendors/suppliers by vetting and negotiating prices.
• Carrying out of regular stock takes and reviews of slow-moving stocks/spares
• Regular updates on critical spares holdings.
• Inventory valuations.
