Our client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Trainer & Project Manager to oversee learning and development within the finance department and drive performance improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finance, project management, and training, with a strong focus on efficiency, digitalization, and compliance. This role is a 12 month contract.

Responsibilities
  • Define, plan, and monitor learning and development needs based on input from managers and individual roles.
  • Develop and implement training programs, materials, and job aids to meet business outcomes.
  • Coordinate and monitor compliance training, ensuring new employees receive department-specific onboarding.
  • Analyze process delays, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and controls.
  • Drive digitalization initiatives and performance improvements within finance, ensuring alignment with global and local policies.
  • Lead and manage local and global projects from planning to post-implementation support, providing regular updates and reporting.
  • Maintain and update documentation, including SOPs, policies, and process flows.
  • Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders to align policies and ensure adherence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders such as banks.
  • Monitor compliance with operational KPIs and escalate issues as needed to avoid delays.
Key Skills
  • Strong expertise in Oracle/SAP/SUN or other large ERP applications and data extraction tools.
  • Experience in digitalization, automation, and business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including training facilitation for adult learners.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Change management experience and adaptability to evolving environments.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing training programs tailored to business needs.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • Experience in project management, particularly in implementing new processes and systems.
  • Solid academic record.
  • First time passers for both board exams (if CA).
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and training practices.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
  • Newly qualified Chartered Accountant OR SAIPA / CIMA registered with 5 years experience (need to have completed studies)
